Why your Porsche needs PPF

Why a Porsche specifically needs PPF.

Porsche lacquer is famously hard — and famously expensive to re-spray. Front-axle weight on a 992 Turbo S pushes the nose into stone-chip range every M-road blast. The Frozen Berry, Python Green and PTS bespoke colours that hold Porsche residual value can lose tens of thousands of pounds in a single re-paint if a rock takes the bonnet. PPF is the cheapest insurance you can buy against the only depreciation lever you actually control.

Where the damage lands

Where the chips actually land on a Porsche.

01

Front bumper + leading edge of bonnet

Stone-chip primary zone on the 911 / Cayman. Sloped bonnet feeds debris straight into paint.

02

Lower side skirts + rocker panels

RS and GT cars sit lower — kerb-tip and tyre-cast spray hit here every drive.

03

Mirror backs + A-pillars

Wind-borne grit reaches the mirror caps and front of the A-pillar at motorway speed.

04

Headlight covers

Sand-pitting on polycarbonate adds up — a separate XPEL Stealth film keeps the optics clear.

What we'd recommend

For most Porsche owners: Full Front.

For most road-driven 911s and Caymans, Full Front (bumper + bonnet + full front wings + mirror backs + headlights) hits the price/coverage sweet spot. GT3 RS and trackday cars step up to Full Coverage or our Track Pack. We'll spec it honestly at consultation, not upsell.

Porsche owners ask

Questions we hear a lot.

Will PPF damage Porsche paint when removed?

No. XPEL Ultimate Plus is designed for clean removal up to its rated life — typically 10 years. We pull test panels at handover so you can see how it lifts. We've never had a Porsche customer report adhesive transfer or clear-coat lift after removal.

Can you cover bespoke PTS / Paint to Sample colours?

Yes — Frozen Berry, Python Green, GT Silver, Chalk and the full PTS range are all unaffected by our film. PPF stays clear (you don't get a colour shift) and the warranty covers yellowing for 10 years.

Do you do PCCB / PCCB carbon-ceramic brake calipers?

Not directly — calipers fall under detailing. But we'll mask and protect them during PPF install. Most customers add a Fusion Plus ceramic coating to calipers and wheels at the same time.

How long does a 911 install take?

Partial front: 1 day. Full front: 2 days. Full body: 5–7 days plus a 48-hour cure window. We slot Porsche bookings around Cars & Coffee weekends so you don't lose driving time.
