How the install actually runs.
PPF is half film, half discipline. These are the install habits that decide whether a job still looks right two years in — or starts lifting at edges by month six.
Filtered, temperature-stable bay.
Sealed install bay with filtered air and temperature held in the range XPEL specifies for adhesion. Film goes down clean — no kerbside dust pulled in mid-install, no edge curl from cold paint.
Plotter-cut where it fits. Hand-finished where it has to be.
Stock XPEL templates run on a plotter for every panel where one exists for your model — no guesswork. For bespoke coverage, full-body extras and edge-wrap work, the cut moves to the panel, in the hands of a manufacturer-certified installer who knows when to do it and how.
Limited cars in the bay at once.
We don't stack jobs. Each install gets the time it needs — prep, dwell, cure — instead of being rushed off the bay because the next car's waiting on the kerb. The throughput is intentionally boutique.
Manufacturer-spec install fluids.
XPEL-spec slip and tack solutions, the right blades, the right squeegees. No improvised washing-up-liquid mixes that leave residue under the film — the stuff that quietly fails after the warranty conversation.
Final QC under controlled light.
Every panel inspected under LED panel-light before handover — not in daylight where boundary lines and trapped contamination hide. If we can see it, we re-do it before you collect.
Windshield
protection film.
A 200-micron TPU layer over your windscreen. Stops chips before they happen, stays optically clear, and saves the cost of a replacement that would compromise OEM glass calibration on modern ADAS-equipped cars.

Thicker than standard window tint. Absorbs impact from stones and road debris that would otherwise chip the glass.
UV rejection

Can you see it on the car?
No. Installed correctly, PPF is invisible at arm's length. Edges sit inside natural panel lines.
Does it affect resale?
It helps. Protected paint at trade-in time is worth more than protected-on-paper. Warranty is transferable.
What about when I sell the car?
PPF can be removed with heat — leaves no residue. Many owners leave it on as a selling feature.
Is it safe to wash normally?
Yes after 48 hours. Avoid high-pressure jets aimed directly at panel edges for the first week.
Will it damage paint underneath?
No. It protects paint and conforms to it. On factory paintwork, we offer written reassurance.
How long does a full front take?
Two days in the bay, plus 48 hours cure time. We can arrange collection and delivery in the Watford area.
