Where we put film on a RS6
The panels we cover most often on a Audi RS6: front bumper, full bonnet (the bonnet is long and flat — perfect for stone strikes), front wings (the flared arches catch debris), mirrors, A-pillars, rocker panels, rear arch flares, and the door sills (kid-step damage).
Model-specific things to know
- The flared arches. Both front and rear flares need pattern-cut film — the body lines aren't where the arch lines are. We use XPEL's R3 plotter patterns that account for this.
- Daytona Grey paint. The most popular RS6 colour is also the most chip-revealing. Film on stone-strike zones extends the ‘like-new’ appearance significantly.
- Door sill protection. Family RS6s get scuffed sills from kids. We apply a 30µm clear film inside the door shut for invisible protection.
- The huge front bumper. RS6 bumpers are taller than most — partial front rarely covers enough. Full-front to the A-pillar is the right starting point.
