G63 owners usually want full-coverage PPF — the body is so flat that strikes show on every panel, and the resale value of a clean G is substantially higher.
Where we put film on a G63 / G-Wagon
The panels we cover most often on a Mercedes-AMG G63 / G-Wagon: the entire bonnet (slab and exposed), grille surround, front bumper, both front wings, A-pillars, mirrors (huge on a G), rocker panels, both rear arch flares, and the spare-wheel cover on the rear door.
Model-specific things to know
- The chrome trim. G-Wagon chrome doesn't take PPF well — it bonds but looks slightly soft. We protect chrome with a ceramic coating instead, which is invisible.
- The slab bonnet. The G63 bonnet is one of the largest we wrap. We do it as a single pattern, not a panel join, to avoid visible seams.
- Spare-wheel cover. The painted swing-door cover gets scratched when owners load luggage. We always include it in full-front quotes.
- Manufaktur paint. Manufaktur custom paint is £15k+ on its own — film is non-negotiable on a G with custom paint, full stop.
